Vox pop, short for vox populi, is a Latin phrase that means 'voice of the people'.

In journalism, vox pop or vox pop interview refers to short interviews of random persons from the public on the street.

The term vox pop has been derived from the old Latin proverb 'Vox populi, vox Dei' (The voice of the people [is] the voice of God).
